Design and supply of tangential spherical, self-aligning reaction bearings for drawbridge.
Bearings designed to block land-ends of the spans against the abutments when bridge is closed. Bearings separate every time bridge opens and need to provide rigid support when bridge is closed. In the same time must allow for horizontal movement (thermal effects).

• Separable bearings (separation occurs every time bridge opens)
• Bearings are self aligning (bearing properly aligns itself when bridge closes)
• Vertical capacity 6000kN
• Very stiff in vertical direction. (E~210 GPa, no elastomer used)
• Allowable tilt angle ±2 deg. (any axis)
• Free sliding in horizontally
